Stillness: Study 13
December. A month in which the idea of want tends to be cultivated: I want more time, I want more things, I want more money to buy more things - I want to get - I want …. for Christmas - And many of us expect others to be involved in this too - What did you get? What are you getting? Are you all done with your Christmas shopping? This is defiantly a cultural phenomenon. This type of thinking can be stressful, even overwhelming and definitely draining. If we look to nature too, with our conditioned mindset, we find scarcity. Gone are the abundant fruits of summer—time to dip into the stores of winter. But if we pause and breathe, and look with eyes unclouded, we will find that we have all that we need.
In my stillness, I always have enough.
I breathe in, and I am thankful. I have enough. I am enough — all that I have is all that I need to live the life I love.
