Living and not Dying
Daily Dose of Emily D
“Life—is what we make of it—
Death—we do not know—
Christ’s acquaintance with Him
Justify Him—though—
He—would trust no stranger—
Other—could betray—
Just His own endorsement—
That—sufficeth Me—
All the other Distance
He hath traversed first—
No New Mile remaineth—
Far as Paradise—
His sure foot preceding—
Tender Pioneer—
Base must be the Coward
Dare not venture—now—”
Daily Scripture Reading
Anchor Verse
“ ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is God not of the dead, but of the living.”
Reflection
Inspired only to say this: Make the most of your life. It’s a beautiful gift and a great opportunity. Enjoy - enjoy - enjoy every moment. Live it to the fullest. Get away from the games of society. Feel the beauty all around you. Love people. Love the Earth. Love God. Love yourself. And care - care for all of these to the fullest of your ability - care.
Our God is a God of life. From moment to moment, we are either living or dying. We are connected and receiving and giving life to the world; or we are disconnected from our source and we are withering away. Our God is a God of life - choose life. With every thought you think, word you speak, action you take, plan you make — choose life. Receive life and give life and live life to the fullest.

Hello and welcome to your morning mediation for living mindfully.
Find a comfortable seat, and let’s begin cultivating our concentration, consciously training our mind to focus and to stay with our object of concentration: our breath. Remember as we practice today, that this object can be anything. At the moment, we are using our breath as our object. Tonight when you are slicing vegetables for your healthy and delicious salad - you can use tomatoes as your object - or the act of slicing them- and make food preparation a meditation. For now - breathe in - breathe out. Listen to your breath. Breathe in. Breath out - be aware of your breath. Sink deeper.
Concentrate on this focused attention and become a witness of your thoughts. Pass no judgment on your thoughts, only be aware that they are there. With this mindfulness, you can simply be present with whatever arises. You are at peace, you are relaxed. You are witness. Breathe in and release. Breathe in and release - relax.
In this mindful state, notice how you feel. You are at peace. Be aware of the calmness you feel here and note that once this mediation is over, this peace that you have cultivated will still be within for you to tap into whenever you need to do so. Breathe in - breathe out. Breathe in - Breathe out. Breath in. Breathe out. Enjoy this quiet peaceful state.
Welcome this mantra for mindful living.
I am mindful; I am witness; I am in living my life to the fullest; I am happy in this present moment; mindful I am.
I am mindful; I am witness; I am in living my life to the fullest; I am happy in this present moment; mindful I am.
I am mindful; I am witness; I am in living my life to the fullest; I am happy in this present moment; mindful I am.
And now silently on your own.
As you move into your day today, keep it peaceful - slow down your actions and become more present with them - take with you the understanding that there’s nothing in life that is not meditation. Try today - to keep the awareness of your breath, and as you breathe, receive and give life. The same with your walking. With each step you take, be mindful of the energy and connection to the earth you make and become more present in each moment.
Thank you for joining me to meditate. Have a beautiful day. See you again soon. Namaste.
