Fools, Sloths, Whisperers
Daily Passage
Reflections
The passage today is filled with very creative descriptions of fools, sloths, and whisperers. The words here also warn that any association with fools, sloths, and deceitful whisperers can lead to problems. One of the greatest problems with associating with people like these that are described here so very vividly is becoming like them.
Who we choose to spend our time with is very important. We really do take on the personalities of those around us, and the path we walk is almost always influenced by the way our closest companions are walking.
In today’s world, especially since COVID, we need to think about those who we see face to face regularly, and also consider who it is that we listen to and watch through media. Those who guide or entertain us through social media, television programs, news channels . . . have a profound affect on who we are and who we are becoming. Take care to surround yourself with those people and ideas that you value and respect. We learn through our senses, and our choices in this matter are most important.
