13 In Prayer

Prayer Pin.png
Oh Great Spirit, help me always to speak the truth quietly, to listen with an open mind when others speak, and to remember the peace that may be found in silence.
— Cherokee Prayer

Reflection

I speak true. I do so with ease. I do so with grace. I have no need to yell. I have no need to struggle. My throat is wide; my belly, deep. From deep within, I speak. From my innermost heart I speak—the sanctuary of love and peace. Tranquility. And I listen too. With my mind wide open, I listen to hear. I slow down to feel the words rounded by another. I digest them. I pause to comprehend. Listening, I treasure the words of another. Even if I do not agree, I honor the viewpoint. My purpose is peace. I remember silence. Silence, at times is the the way. And so, sometimes - it is in silence I take my stance - waiting.
