Stillness: Study 29
December. I wake this morning with thoughts in my head. So many things to do. I breathe deeply and smile. I remind myself that my priority is to enjoy each moment as I live it - and to do that, I need to slow down. First, I enjoy waking up in such a safe and comfortable place. I give thanks for my home, my bed, my good night’s sleep, and all of the the many important rejuvenating and repairing processes that occurred within my body while I was sleeping.
I slow down, and I enjoy each moment.
Out of stillness I move mindfully. Every action and interaction merits my attention. I wash my hands. The water is clean and cool. The soap smells of lavender — refreshing! I am thankful for the water that is so clean and assessable, and the soap - and my hands.
