2 Gratitude
My day begins here with thanksgiving for the light - shines bright on the pond.
“I . . . awake, see the sun.
I ... give my gratitude . . . I am still alive.
One more day to be myself.”
“The Sun, with all those planets revolving around it and dependent upon it,
can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the Universe to do.”
The New Light of Day
I love the new light of each morning - I love to watch it as it reaches up over the horizon, sending beams - embossing the trunks of trees and the tips of leaves with a transient gold - making what is dark - light. Important in a physical sense as it illuminates my world - helping me to see clearly and to navigate freely, bringing warmth to an otherwise cold void, and extending energy to plants, causing them to grow, this new light of day also lifts my mind and spirit ~ As I slow down to witness the growth of the light - radiant - pure - I hear my heart telling me, “This is a new day. A grand day. No other day has ever been like this day - with this day, you have so much opportunity - with this day, you have all that you need to love - to be like this light. “ A perfect day poised in it’s beginnings, is such a beautiful event to witness - and so I give thanks - thanks for the light - thank you ~
