Long needled or short. Everlasting - evergreen. Healing tree of peace.

Be at Peace

Maybe of all the trees, the pine is dearest to my heart. I love the look of the pine, towering, tall, and evergreen. I love how textured red- gold bark catches the slant of light on autumn afternoon. I love the smell of the pine, fresh - woodsy - reminds me of Christmas - and - of childhood. As a child, I would often play in a pine forest, making huts of the fallen limbs and covering them with thick layers of pine straw. Sitting within those huts on cold days, I remember warmth and silence - except for the creaking of those trees as they swayed back and forth - taking forest, they didn’t mind me listening in! Symbolic of everlasting peace around the world and a great healer, I am so glad to have grown up living alongside of this beautiful and giving tree.
