Stillness: Study 6

There is a paradoxical mystery to stillness. In seeking solitude and cultivating stillness, I become more aware of my connection to others. In disconnecting from the world, I discover connections to the world.

Out of stillness, I speak with love and grace.

I breathe and prepare to be still.  I breath again, and I am still. Still in the mind. Still in the body—at one with the deep stillness of Earth and God. Into solitude I withdraw, only to discover my connection with all and a deep love pools within for all things living. I settle into this feeling. I open my eyes and move into my day. I carry this love with me, dipping into it, freely sharing it with all I meet - words and deeds filled with love and grace.

Making a Connection Through Art Journaling

I am posting this short video showing you how I cultivate stillness through art and nature. Enjoy!

One opens the inner doors of one’s heart to the infinite silences of the Spirit, out of whose abysses love wells up without fail and gives itself to all.
— Thomas Merton
