25: Aerate - CHARMED Through Sunning and Art Journaling

The sun,—the bright sun, that brings back, not light alone, but new life, and hope, and freshness —burst upon the crowded city in clear and radiant glory. Through costly-coloured glass and paper-mended window, through cathedral dome and rotten crevice, it shed its equal ray.

Reflection:

I love the sun. I love its consistency, how it is always there. I love its roundness. I love its fire. I love its pull, how it keeps the planets in line. I love its reflection on the moon, its rise and decline. I love the many colors as its light reflects and refracts. I love how it energizes me and causes me to relax. I love the sun. I love natural light. I love how the sun makes me feel when I am in it. I love its touch on my skin. I love its radiant heat. It gives strength and nourishment. I love how it enables life. I love its healing power.

Centering Thought:

The sun rises and falls, bestowing light, and warmth, and nourishment — with each new day; a new beginning.

Questions:

  • Do you enjoy the sunshine?

  • Do you believe that time in the sun is beneficial to your health?

  • What do you love about the sun?

Gratitude:

I am so thankful for the sun, the harbinger of the day. I am thankful for its golden hue. I am thankful for its energy. I am thankful for its warmth. I am thankful for how the sun makes me feel. I am grateful for the vitamin D it causes my body to generate as it touches my skin. I am thankful for the light.
