Reflection

Gratitude

I am thankful now. I am rich in thanksgiving. Thanksgiving elevates my mood. Thanksgiving elevates my soul. Expressing gratitude lifts my spirits. I love my life; I celebrate with thanksgiving. I feel the fullness of my life, and I am grateful.

From the Latin stem grat translated as grace, gratitude is active and graceful acceptance for what is. Tangible or intangible, liked or disliked, with gratitude, I receive it all. Like the moon, I accept the light of all that shines my way. With gratitude, I acknowledge the goodness in my beautiful life. I receive from other, and through gratitude, I connect to other — to people, to nature, to the Divine.

I am grateful and my happiness grows greater. In gratitude, positive emotions flow readily. I relish my life experience. I grow strong and healthy physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

I feel and express gratitude in various ways. Through memory, I give thanks. Through my hope, I am thankful for my future. Most definitely - always- always - I am thankful for my now. In gratitude, I appreciate what I have. I want for nothing. There is nothing lacking in my life. My table, is always set as a banquet, and I am full. And as I am grateful, I grow my gratitude, I cultivate it further.

I think about others who have been nice to me. I send a thank you their way. The love in my heart expands. I write a note of thanks to a loved one. My relation flourishes; my joy increases. As I write, I think of the beauty our connection has brought into my life. I grow happier. I write a note to myself too, thanking myself for my life - my dedications and devotions. In my journal and here in this blog, I write lists and lists to express how thankful I am in all of the areas of my life. I count my blessings, and they overflow. In meditation and in prayer, I center and feel the feeling of gratitude. It is love it is warm it is a way of communion. In all of these way, I grow my gratitude and my reasons for being thankful also grow.

Centering Thought

With thanksgiving, I live my life.
