Thought 20 - Out of Silence, Sound

Silence enables the sound to be

Reflection

In silence, a sound forms. Through silence a voice, a ping, or a pop breaks into the world - lasting - lasting - and then returns to the vast sea of silence. Existing from silence, encased in silence; without silence, sound would not exist.

So often we think of doing as what comprises our lives -By the words we speak, the sounds we make, the actions we perform and moves we make - we describe ourselves - our doing gets much attention—sometimes it’s even rewarded; however, it is the being that is allows the doing - births, encompasses, and supports - the doing. We are. Out of our presence - all else happens. Out of our stillness—we move.

For today’s reflection - I invite you to a time of stillness - of silent meditation. Sit with me for five or ten or twenty minute — for as long as you like. Feel the silence within and hear the silence all around. In the stillness, feel the energy: feel that enabling power that is so silent and so still.
